Heres what I did Saturday for my 30th.

I have a bunch more pics and video but it wont let me post them unless they are under 50kb. Its pretty hard to compress to that size. I'm pretty positive I'm the only person in the world who has done this with an 89.

That's great! What kind of times did you run?

Oddly enough with even the stock engine in there I was on my way to running a high 13 but I had to slow down half track because the car decided to have a "movie moment". Got to half track and the gun doors blew off. I had them velcroed on but at 70 they flew off. It looked funny on video too. By the time I slowed down I had about an 18 lol.

The entire experience was pretty intimidating. Ok so heres a car that i've barely tested. Driven maybe 8 miles ever since build. Full propane tank in the back for the flame, Car never driven over 45. So whats logical ? To go drag racing of course lol.

It didnt help any that the track announcers kept alerting everyone to my presence there. I just wanted to get the car out and do a burnout and a slow pass. I even let them know that. But they put me in a special staging lane then kept calling out to everyone. "OK FOLKS THE BATMOBILE IS IN LANE 2, THE BATMOBILE IS IN LANE 2 READY TO GO!!! ". Yea great lol. So when I pulled up the track stopped. Everyone piled up on the sides so I did about a 2 minute burnout to make up for the slow run I knew I was going to do lol.

Good times.....Next year it'll be nasty with a new drivetrain.

I can't wait to get a few of my other projects finished. As soon as I can get the room for a full on project I really want to start my 89.

Drag racing would be one of the first things I'd do with mine, second thing....running up on people on the interstate and seeing if they get out of the way.
